It is in this city that you can encounter the world’s largest beer hall, filled to the brim with litre glasses of dark homemade brew and an assortment of the most delicious traditional food around. After visiting this extraordinary drinking palace, where live music fills the air and the waiters and waitresses wear traditional Bavarian clothes, continue to the iconic Marienplatz, a beautiful market place with the breath-taking neo-Gothic town hall in the background. Also around are the Cathedral of Our Lady and the Vikualienmarkt, a farmer’s market really worth the visit. Marvel too at the English Garden and Odeonsplatz.
The second part of the tour takes you to journey to Nuremberg, capital of Franconia, a highly historical place: a mighty commercial centre of European trade in the Middle Ages, a focus scene of the Third Reich and, nowadays, a vivid city. Set eyes upon de glorious Imperial Castle (Keiserburg), where the emperors of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation used to reside. Here too we find the house of Albrecht Durer, one of Europe’s greatest artists, who was born in this city. Other sights include the Old City Hall, the main market square, a beautiful fountain, the church of St Lorenz, the Church of Our Lady with the Running Men clockwork, the Crafts Yard and so much more.
