Experience US History in this fascinating walking tour of Philadelphia. A knowledgeable local guide will walk you through the Historic District and the Old City neighbourhoods providing you with plenty of local insight along the way. Admire some of the most famous historical sites in the US and learn about the city’s recent cultural renaissance.

After meeting your guide we’ll walk down Independence Mall past the National Constitution Centre and the U.S. Mint into the President's House Site, home to George Washington during Philadelphia’s tenure as US capital.



From here we’ll walk past the Liberty Bell, and then continue to Washington Square for a visit to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.



We’ll carry on through Independence National Park, past Independence Hall, site of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Then as we enter the Old City neighbourhood, you’ll pass some of the city’s trendiest pubs, clubs, cafes and shops as well as some fantastic industrial architecture. We’ll make a brief stop at the Old City Coffee shop so you can grab a quick snack and a coffee.



From here we’ll head on to the Betsy Ross House birthplace of the American Flag. From there, we‘ll weave our way through the charming back alleys of Old City, one of the oldest continuously occupied residential areas in the country.



Before the tour ends we’ll enter Christ Church, where you can hear stories of the founding fathers and learn all about the birth of the Episcopal Church in America. The tour will end at a local brewpub where you can enjoy a craft beer brewed in-house; kids are welcome to a beverage of their choice as well.
