Program details
East meets west in Macau and this fascinating full day tour of this picturesque and vibrant former Portuguese colony. Admire the contrasting architecture, which shows traces of every conceivable style, and visit the top sites and attractions that this enchanting city has.
Begin your adventure at Penha Hill on the southernmost tip of the original Macau peninsula. It is dominated by a large chapel that overlooks beautiful colonial era homes and the bay. This rarely visited part of the city still exudes the essence of the more than 440 years of Portuguese rule. See the historic A Ma Taoist Temple, which predates the arrival of the Portuguese before moving to modern times at the landmark Macau Tower and the 20 metre high Kun Iam Statue.
Check out the popular Famous Native Store, Fisherman’s Wharf and the haunting ruins of the baroque St Paul’s cathedral. Following a fire that spread during a typhoon in the 19th century, just the façade remains at the top steps. Now part of a Unesco World Heritage Site, it is the undoubted image of Macao. The tour ends at the world famous Venetian Resort.
