Come discover the historical city of Guangzhou and its many beautiful sights and attractions. This full day tour takes you to all the most important museums of the city formerly known as Canton so as to provide you with all the necessary tools for becoming a true connoisseur of the area.

The adventure begins at the magnificent Yuexiu Park, where you will find the renowned Five Rams Statue, often referred to as the icon of Guangzhou. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the park as you head for the Zhenhai Tower, a breathtaking construction that houses the intriguing City Museum. After learning all the museum has to offer about the city’s colourful past, continue to the Nanyue King Museum. This unusual institution is located 20 metres underground and is famous for its well-preserved tomb and funerary instruments that date back to the Han Dynasty.

After munching on a savoury traditional lunch, visit the elaborately decorated Chen Clan Temple, originally erected back in the 1880s as a college. Today, it is home to the Guangdong Museum of Folk Arts and is a protected heritage site on national scale. After that, the tour takes you to Qing Ping Market, where you can provide yourself with manifold Chinese herbs and medicines. After a visit to Shamian Island, the tour ends with a stroll through a ceramic and porcelain centre to learn about this national craft. This tour is truly a cultural tour de force.
