Your tour will start with a visit to the Isabey Mosque, constructed in 1374. Columns and stones taken from the ruins of near-by Ephesus and Artemis’ Temple were used in its construction. The tour will continue with a visit to the cave of the Seven Sleepers, where seven young Christian men hid from religious prosecution, falling asleep to wake up several centuries later. This will be followed by lunch in Yusuf’s Place, an open-air restaurant where you will be able to savour a traditional dish, known locally as “gozleme”.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Artemis, known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the Ephesus Archaeological Museum. The tour will finish with a drink at Çadır Café, located in Seljuk Park.
