Discover the Science Museum of Valencia with its interactive exhibitions and scientific activities to show new technologies and science advancements. This is the great 21st-century science museum for getting to know in a didactic, interactive, and entertaining way everything to do with life, science, and technology.
The spectacular building designed by Santiago Calatrava contains more than 26,000 square metres of exhibitions on current scientific and technical matters. Full interactivity is one of its special features, the motto of which is ‘Forbidden not to touch, not to feel, not to think’.
The diversity of interactive exhibitions and the numerous activities of dissemination that have been carried out at the Museum have helped to make it a great success with members of the public, who have responded enthusiastically to its bid to disseminate science and technology from an amusing and entertaining viewpoint without forgetting the scientific precision necessary when approaching the subjects treated.
Activities are also offered in the “experimental classrooms”. These rooms are used for workshops and more systematic demonstrations. In “Science on Stage”, for example, the public can enjoy and take part in spectacular and amusing experimental demonstrations in order to learn basic scientific principles.
As well as the daily programme of scientific activities, throughout the year programmes of additional activities are provided in the form of astronomical observations, talks and conferences on science and culture, special courses for teachers, collaboration with university lecturers, etc.
Schedules change depending on the time of the year and in High Season, from 1 July - 8 September, they run from 10am to 9pm.
