Program details

Stand on the shoulder giants as you live the high life for a day in the natural wonderlands of Western Australia. This is the great outdoors as you’ve never seen them, with some of the tallest and widest trees in the world offering you a platform for the ultimate holiday experience.

As we head south, pause for morning tea (not included) at the famous fruit town of Donnybrook. Continue the tour through the rolling farmlands of the Blackwood River Valley passing through the pioneer villages of Balingup and Bridgetown. Stop for a picnic lunch at the Diamond Tree, a karri tree that was once used as a bush fire watch tower. If you feel like a challenge, you can try to climb up to the wooden watch cabin near the top of the 51 metre-tall tree.

After lunch, travel through awesome karri forests before reaching the fabled Valley of the Giants, where you can experience the Tree Top Walk. This 400 metre-long elevated walkway built through the canopy gradually reaches up to 40 metres above ground. If you’re unsure about the elevation, a walk on ground level is available through the Ancient Empire, a pocket of tingle forest. These wide-girthed trees can grow up to five metres in diameter at the base. Enjoy afternoon tea before heading to William Bay, and then continue along the coast through farming country to the quaint seaside town of Denmark. Head inland and visit an aboriginal and rural heritage visitors’ centre.
