Immerse yourself in the spiritual heart of Melbourne with this breathtaking action-packed kayak tour. Explore downtown Melbourne on the water and enjoy awesome views of the city skyline as you paddle along the Yarra River. Then, as the sun goes down, enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city from the Melbourne’s Eureka Skydeck 88 and watch the place come to life.

Get acquainted with your kayak as you explore the Docklands area before tucking into some tasty fish-n-chips, a special ‘on water’ dining experience. After the meal the tour continues on upstream on the Yarra River, under the modern Bolte Bridge with its eye-catching twin silver towers and through to Melbourne’s lively downtown. Paddle past the Crown Casino and alongside stylish Southbank, an inner urban neighbourhood and thriving business district. Glide on past Flinders Street Railway Station and beneath the historic Princes Bridge, built on the site of one of the oldest river crossings in Australia. You then arrive at the approach to Melbourne’s enormous sporting precinct, home to the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Rod Laver Arena.

At the end of the tour, Skydeck 88 is only a short stroll away, offering unparalleled views over the city. Trace your paddling route from Docklands to the thriving restaurant scene at Southgate and peer out over Port Phillip Bay and the Dandenong Ranges. The fleet of extremely stable Sea Bear kayaks makes the experience ideal for first-time paddlers.

Meeting/pick-up point: Community Hub at The Dock, 912 Collins St, Docklands. At the end of Collins Street in Docklands, next door to The Dock library.
Duration: Three hours.
Start/opening time: From 1st Jan 16 to 2nd Apr 16 and from 2nd Oct 16 to 1st Apr 17, the activity starts at 6:45pm. From 3rd Apr 16 to 1st Oct 16, the activity starts at 5pm. The client must arrive at the meeting point 15-20 minutes before the tour starts.

Others: You may want to bring a change of clothes if you are going out afterwards as you may get a little wet. All accessories are included.
