Program details
Jump into a 4WD vehicle and explore the amazing landscapes of the Daintree National Park wilderness area. Travel through some of the oldest rainforest in the world and explore the wild beauty of Cape Tribulation. Included is a guided tour and morning tea at the Mossman Gorge Centre, delicious tropical lunch set amongst the rainforest and a walk on famous Cape Tribulation Beach. Enjoy a cruise on the Daintree River before returning home.
Visit the Mossman Gorge Gateway Centre and enjoy an indigenous presentation and tea before boarding your eco-shuttle for the transfer to the Gorge. Your expert eco guide will share their knowledge of this enchanting rainforest environment. Learn about the fascinating secrets of one of the world's oldest rainforests. Walk on this world-renowned Cape Tribulation rainforest beach and admire the coastline and fringing coral reef from the Kulki Lookout.
Enjoy a short walk along a delightful rainforest creek before a delicious tropical lunch. You can chose among steak, fish or vegetarian dishes with fresh salads and fruit platter, followed by coffee or Daintree Tea.
After winding through the rainforest of the Alexandra Range, enjoy spectacular views over the Daintree River estuary, Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea. Cruise the Daintree River for an hour and see birds, tree snakes, native plants and crocodiles. Cross again the mighty Daintree River by cable ferry, one of the last of its kind.
Meeting/pick-up point: Cairns accommodation approximately 6.45 am, Northern Beaches accommodation approximately 7am. No pickup from Yorkeys Knob, Holloways Beach or Machans Beach.
Start/opening time: 7am.
End/closing time: Return to Cairns accommodation approximately 6:30pm, Northern Beaches accommodation approximately 6:30pm. No drop off to Yorkeys Knob, Holloways Beach or Machans Beach.
