Contemplate the city’s full beauty as you wander through the streets of old quarter flanked by well-maintained historical buildings that date back to the 17th century. Stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral and pop inside to admire the mosaics before heading to the vibrant Central Market. Fortaleza boasts a treasure-trove of remarkable attractions, which are included in your itinerary, such as the President Castelo Branco Mausoleum, the Martyr’s Square and the Statue of Iracema. You will also have the chance to pick up a souvenir at the famous crafts fair located on Meireles Beach, take a look at the peaceful raft harbour of Mucuripe and visit the well-loved Praia do Futuro beach.



In the second part of your tour we’ll slow things down as we take you onto the Sol Puente Route to discover a haven of paradisiacal beaches. We’ll stop at the renowned Cumbuco Beach. Originally the site of an ancient fisherman colony, Cumbuco has a gorgeous landscape dominated by towering sand dunes dotted with swaying coconut trees and sparkling ponds. Sink your toes into the sand, order a cocktail or sample some delicious local cuisine as you relax and soak up the sun. When you’re done having time-out you have the option to go on a dune buggy ride or take part in the local sport, ‘ski-bunda’ high speed sand dune sledging - probably the most fun you will ever have on dry land!
