Program details
Sometimes you just can’t get enough of a good thing. And as good things go, the Iguazu falls are on the awesome scale of good. This triple whammy package includes a Macuco safari, a rappel rope descent and a rafting expedition for good measure. All you have to bring along is your enthusiasm.
The fun begins on an open wagon trail through 3km of the Iguazu National Park, where you will see canyons, wild animals and a spectacular view of the falls. The hike is the second stage of our adventure and there’s a 600-metre stretch that leads to the Macuco Falls, which spills down from a height of some 20 metres and is a perfect for a refreshing dip on hot days.
Hop aboard the motor boat for an upriver cruise until reaching the base of the falls is, next to the falls known as the Devil’s Throat. The captain manoeuvres the boat in order to get close enough to provide the passengers with a quick and refreshing shower.
For the rafting, you will receive instructions from the coordinators as well as lifejacket and helmet before beginning the tour, passing by the Three Musketeers waterfall.
Finally, trek through the jungle to the cliff of the canyon before your breathtaking descent by rope of the 50 metre-plus (more than 180ft) rock cliffs that overlook the waterfalls.
