Heading for Wadi Mandar, we'll leave the resort in the late afternoon as the setting sun turns the desert rocks a shade of deep orange. On arrival, you'll meet your Bedouin hosts, who will offer you a traditional welcome, offering water and mint tea. Your guide will tell you all about this forbidding yet fascinating environment and the culture of this ancient people before you are invited to enter a magnificent Bedouin tent to share a delicious feast as it is laid down in their ancient codes of hospitality.
Once you've eaten your fill, it's time to emerge into the dark silent desert, canopied by an unbelievably clear night sky, spangled with millions of twinkling stars. The isolation of the spot means that there is no light pollution to disturb your views of the vast universe out there.Your knowledgeable guide will then join you as you observe and photograph the skies through state-of-the-art telescopes, enjoying unbeatable views of the moon, planets and stars.
