Program details
Sample some authentic Chilean culture on this trip to Pomaire and Isla Negra! The tour provides a fascinating insight into the rich heritage of Chile and allows you to experience and witness some of it first hand for yourself.
Pomaire is an area known for its incredible clay craftwork. The natural clay in the nearby hills has led to a thriving pottery industry in the community. Take the opportunity to purchase some local handicrafts and find out how the locals spend their days. After finding yourself under the spell of the countryside spirit and after visiting the clay stands, you’ll head for Isla Negra along the central coastline, where there will be plenty of time for a delicious lunch.
Isla Negra is a coastal area in Chile and is best known as the residence of Chile’s Nobel Prize winner and poet, Pablo Neruda. Neruda built one of his houses on this coast, which today is a museum. The museum will give you the opportunity to understand how countless personal gems and objects, as well as items as seemingly insignificant as bottle collections and shells turned into a permanent source of inspiration for the poet. The tour will then return you to the Santiago Hotel, where it will end.
This tour is definitely one for those who want to learn more about the culture of Chile and learn more about the life of the poet, Pablo Neruda. The tour gives you the chance to see some beautiful scenery in Chile and is not to be passed up!
