Following in the St’s footsteps, you will be guided along winding streets and alleyways to the historical and artistic treasures of this medieval town. In the superb Basilica of St Francis of Assisi, gazing at Giotto’s frescoes of the St’s life, you will learn the history of this important spiritual centre. Finally, step back in time with a visit to the ancient city of Perugia, capital of Umbria and steeped in a history that goes all the way back to Etruscan times.
