Program details
Explore the darkest chapter in German history with this emotive tour of Dachau, one of many former Nazi concentration camps. Representing a truly awful point in the history of humanity, you'll get the chance to learn much about both the strengths and weaknesses of the human condition.
Driving through the village of Dachau, you'll soon reach the former concentration camp. The site of many indescribable wartime atrocities, your experiences here will take you to a fairly recent past, and allow you to explore how humankind can lack tolerance for their fellow men. While at Dachau, you will be given plenty of time to visit the memorial site and honour the men, women, and children who lost their lives in this struggle. You will be given an explanation of the memorial while on the bus so you have some understanding of what it represents. Learn about the plight of the prisoners as you peruse the museum and see the images and artefacts associated with this devastating time. View a documentary film and expand your knowledge of the occurrences that happened on this site throughout the conflict.
Out of respect for those who lost their life here or who had loved ones parish at Dachau, or any of the other Nazi concentration camps, please maintain the dignity and sanctity of these memorials by wearing appropriate attire.
