Leave the hectic activity of the city far behind you on this excursion to one of the most attractive Alpine zones in Switzerland, the heavenly Bernese Oberland and the breath-taking Jungfrau region. Throughout the day you will have plenty of free time to explore two famous mountain resorts (Grindelwald and Interlaken) on your own account.

Begin by departing from Zurich on a delightful drive through the idyllic Swiss countryside towards Interlaken. This picturesque area in the heart of the Jungfrau region is located between two stunning lakes. After a first, enjoyable orientation stop, continue to Grindelwald, a lively locus with a rich panorama, ideal for indulging in holiday activities. Don’t forget to check out the astounding vantage points that are scattered over the area, some of which provide awe-inspiring views of the world famous triple peaks that crown the mountain-scape: Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau (otherwise known as the Ogre, the Monk and the Maiden). In your leisure time, hop onto a cable car for a ride up to the sunny terrace of Mount First or join an exciting trotti-bike ride.

In the early afternoon, return by train to the wonderful Interlaken. Spend the rest of the day relishing the extraordinary entourage however pleases you most. Perhaps delve into the region’s renowned shopping paradise. You can also jump on a cable car that takes you to the top of Interlaken’s home mountain, Harder Kulm, where some of the most astounding views in the area await. All in all, this is a journey that will connect you with Swiss soil.
