Discover the delights of Cinque Terre! A Unesco World Heritage site, Cinque Terre, meaning ‘five lands’ (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso) are five perilously perched villages strung along a short stretch of cliffs that face the Ligurian Sea on one of Italy’s most scenic stretches of coastline.
Leaving Milan, you will first arrive at Golfo dei Poeti (The Gulf of Poets) and visit the delightful village of Portovenere. From here, take a stunning panoramic cruise to Monterosso al Mare for a unique opportunity to admire the stunning views of the Cinque Terre from the sea.
Upon arrival you will enjoy free time to explore the village of Monterosso , the largest of the five villages, where you can visit the beaches dotted along the coast and enjoy the endearing and welcoming “piazza” and visit some of the many restaurants and bars.
After free time for lunch we catch the train to Manarola for a gentle stroll along Vernazza. Riomaggiore is Cinque Terre's fifth village. Here you'll have free time to venture around the vineyards, stroll the piers where fishing boats line the shore or climb the Guardiola Tower for the best views of the town and coast!
You will then walk along the famous Via dell'Amore path (Lovers Lane) connecting Manarola and Riomaggiore, where you will enjoy some free time to explore Riomaggiore before catching a scenic train ride to La Spezia for the final leg of your journey, where your coach will be waiting to take you back to Milan.
