Program details
Take a ride on the Bernina Express along one of the world’s most spectacular railway routes and marvel at this fascinating Unesco World Heritage Site as you travel across the Swiss Alps along the Bernina Pass to the exclusive resort of St. Moritz, which is also known as the 'Top of the World'.
Your English speaking guide will accompany you on a journey starting amid the palms of Tirano, northern Italy, taking you over the spiralling Brusio viaduct and through the Bernina Pass (2253 metres above the sea level), and into the Engadin Valley. This north-south Alpine crossing offers breathtaking views and stunning scenery throughout as you meander through winding tunnels, pass through wild gorges and icy glaciers, cross soaring bridges and shoot through loop tunnels.
After the train journey you will visit the exclusive resort of St. Moritz where you will stop at Swizerland’s best chocolate house before enjoying free time to explore the ‘Top of the World’. Your day trip ends with a return journey to Milan by air-conditioned coach.
