Experience all that Italy´s beautiful Lake District has to offer on this fascinating day trip to the stunning islands of Lake Maggiore. Situated a mere 90-minute drive from Milan, Lake Maggiore is surrounded by the majestic Alps and is home to some of Italy’s most impressive gardens.

Visit the lovely and fashionable Italian town of Stresa for a spot of shopping before hopping aboard a two-hour panoramic boat cruise through Italy´s second largest Lake where you will explore the Borromean Islands.

Take in the stunning scenery made up of lakeside villas and lush gardens surrounded by crystal blue waters and set amidst the beauty of the snowcapped Alps.

The first stop will be the exotic Isola Madre, home to a 20 acre park which is considered one of the most impressive parks in Italy before heading back in time to the simple life of Isola dei Pescatori where you will have some free time to explore, shop or enjoy a light lunch.

The cruise moves on elegantly to the luxurious Isola Bella with the elaborate gardens of the Borromean Palace surrounded by boutiques and cafés housed in grand historic buildings, before returning peacefully to Stresa for your return journey to Milan.
