Program details

Immerse yourself in the Eternal City on this comprehensive tour of its many unforgettable sights. Marvel at architectural and artistic treasures from the Colosseum to Saint Peter’s Square and much, much more. Be transported back in time to the world of Ancient Rome where you will learn the fascinating tales of glorious Emperors, fearless gladiators and master artists. From intricate baroque squares to towering amphitheaters and modern masterpieces, Rome’s landmarks and monuments will enchant every visitor and there is no better way to experience them than on this guided tour.

Let Rome work its magic over you as you walk down its cobbled streets, beginning the tour at St Peter’s Square, the massive plaza in front of St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. Admire the paving, colonnades and giant obelisk before catching a glimpse inside the Basilica itself.

Then head into the heart of Ancient Rome as you pass through Piazza Venezia and Palatine Hill to access the ancient Roman Forum. Once the political, administrative and religious centre of Rome, and to a large extent the ancient world, election results, gladiator duels, public speeches and criminal trials would all take place in this spot. We also head to the Pantheon, taking a peek inside if time permits, see the temples and other historical highlights at Largo di Torre Argentina and take you to the east of the Jewish Ghetto to the Marcello Theatre; a mini-Colosseum.

We finish your tour by the world famous Colosseum and Constantine Arch. An iconic structure preserved over the centuries, it is the largest amphitheater in the world and a fitting way to end this unforgettable trip.

Should the guides determine that the queue at St. Peter’s Basilica security check point is longer than a 45 min. wait, they will forego the interior visit of the Basilica and provide you with a full explanation and description while outside. Some museums and attractions may be closed due to unforeseen reasons such as special ceremonies, strikes, and events out of the operator's control. On these rare occasions, the tour will visit alternative sites. Attraction tickets are non-refundable.
