Program details
Uncover mystical hidden lagoons as you drift amount the rocky islets that make up the unique and spectacular region of Phang Nga Bay! Travelling by flat-bottomed kayak or canoe, enter one of the many small donut-shaped rock formations, emerging into the hollow interiors called ‘hongs’ (rooms). At low tide, these fascinating rock hideaways become accessible through gaps created by the sea. Within them you will uncover unique an untouched maze of mangrove swamps, part of an ecosystem that has remained undisturbed for centuries. The original Sea Canoe pioneer, John Gray, first discovered these hongs inside the islands in Phang Nga Bay. He established the very first full day tour of this area named ‘Classic Caves and Hongs’, which still runs today.
This exciting adventure is one that all of the family can enjoy, with the perfect combination of adventure, discovery, fun and relaxation. Our Full Day Pha Nga Bay by Sea Cave and Canoe tour is led by experienced and knowledgeable, English-speaking guides. Our tour includes transport to Pha Nga Bay, drinking water, tea/coffee and lunch, including vegetarian options if requested. For this adventurous excursion, you will need to bring comfortable shoes and clothing, a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen.
